Official: UK sanctions to stay even after Ukrainian conflict ends
MOSCOW, Dec 11 (PRIME) -- The sanctions that the U.K. has imposed on Russia will remain in place even after the Ukrainian conflict ends, Minister of State for Industry and Economic Security Nusrat Munir Ul-Ghani said on Monday at the Policy Exchange think tank in London.
“Sanctions will continue when the conflict comes to an end,” she said.
She also expressed hope that the anti-Russian sanctions are as impactful as possible, and that the measures guarantee that the Russian economy is unable to recover swiftly.
Earlier, the British government announced creation of the Office for Trade Sanctions Implementation that would enforce compliance with the anti-Russian sanctions.
